Project: Preamble
A civic experiment in trust, conversation, and the question of who we really are
I’ve been thinking a lot about the stories we’re told.
That we’re too divided to connect.
That our neighbors are the problem.
That disagreement is dangerous.
That “We the People” is just an opening line we’ve grown out of.
And yet—when I go to the store, or ride a chairlift, or sit in a coffee shop—I see people. Regular people. Not enemies. Not data points. Just people being people.
There’s a gap between the narrative and the experience.
And I want to understand it better.
Project: Preamble is a way of asking, What if we just asked?
What if we created space to gather—not online, not in comment sections, but in real rooms, with real people—and ask:
What does “We the People” mean to you?
What would a more perfect union feel like in your community?
How do we know when justice is real?
This is not a debate. It’s not a political campaign.
It’s a civic space—experimental, imperfect, but intentional.
We’ll be riding bicycles across the country in Fall 2026—facilitators holding conversations along the way, capturing voices, and listening as we go. But first, we’re starting close to home.
In January 2026, we’ll host a small in-person pilot conversation here in Colorado. Ten to twelve people. A couple hours. Real talk. You’ll be paid for your time, but more than that, you’ll be part of something we hope grows far beyond one room.
If you’re curious, keep following. If you’re interested, keep looking, we’ll have more details on how you can “be in"coming soon.
We’re building this as we go—with intention, integrity, and curiosity.
The union isn’t perfect.
But maybe that’s the point.
